CSforVA Conference – Activating Computer Science

Join CodeVA and The CS Office of Loudoun County Public Schools for a return to in-person at the CSforVA Regional Conference!
The Virginia Computer Science SOLs are important to Virginia’s present and our childrens’ future. Therefore, Code Virginia and Loudoun County Public schools invite all Virginia educators and administrators to activate their learning at the regional CSforVA Conference held at The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
The CSforVA conference will bring together educators and administrators from across the Commonwealth to learn more about planning for and integrating the K-8 Computer Science SOLs into core curriculum. This conference will host two different tracks: one for administrators and one for educators. The administrator track will focus on division creation and implementation of a computer science strategic plan. The educator track will focus on implementing and integrating computer science and computer science standards in the classroom.
Educator sessions will be presented by teachers who have effectively integrated CS into their classrooms. Administrator sessions will be facilitated by state leaders in computer science and STEM, CodeVA, and school division leaders who have cultivated integration of CS across their school division.
This conference is appropriate for all types and grade level of educators: school counselors, ITRTs, core and resource/elective teachers, specialists, coaches, and librarian/media specialists!
