2023 Year in Review

  • 785 Students attended our 30 camps and workshops throughout the year
  • 564 Hours of Professional Development delivered
  • 5 Robotics teams directly supported by CodeVA
  • 351 Curriculum items created
  • 1100 Educators impacted through our Professional Development offerings
  • Partnered with Cultural Roots Homeschool to run 2 16-week robotics classes for students to build VEX robots
  • Our Virginia Tribal Education Consortium partnership was granted $25,000 for computer science classes with CodeVA
  • Our Curriculum team created their own website to host our resources – all of which are FREE for Virginia educatorsCLICK HERE to learn more

 

2024 Strategic Plan

  • Reach more students, especially historically underrepresented populations
  • Engage, educate, and inspire educators and leaders to reach more classrooms
  • Advocate and articulate to a wider audience the importance of CS education
  • Diversify the types of services and products and method of dissemination to a larger audience
  • Contribute to the body of evidence to support expansion of CS education both in Virginia and beyond
  • Build a strong and sustainable organization that can effectively address the critical CS educational challenges of learners

  • Full Steam Ahead Presenters – Learn more about Full Steam Ahead Conference on June 21, 2024! VCU Engineering is hosting our FSA middle schooler experience this summer. We need presenters and volunteers to make this day magical. Create an impact in a student’s life!
