Computer Science Roadmap
Computer Science is the study of how we use computing technology to solve human problems. Technology has become the lens through which we experience the world, and students need a basic understanding of computer science to navigate this landscape.
To help school divisions across Virginia prepare for the new computer science Standards of Learning, CodeVA is launching the Computer Science Roadmap Program. In this project CodeVA personnel work interactively with school divisions to create a customized Computer Science District Roadmap that uncovers internal division assets, identifies free tools and resources available to divisions, and makes recommendations for professional development and curricula to support implementing the new standards. The Roadmap will help school divisions plan for professional development, assess their current technology capabilities and choose curriculum and resources.
