Code Day

Students of all ages – from middle school to college – are invited to participate in CodeDay! A worldwide event where student programmers, artists, musicians, actors, and everyone in between come together for 24 amazing hours of building apps and games. Students of all skill levels – from beginner to expert – are welcome. New to coding? We will have workshops and mentors who can help if you’re new!

The program, run by the non-profit srnd.org, is focused on increasing access and interest among underrepresented students in coding and computer science. CodeVA is pleased to partner this year for two Virginia Code Day events at CodeVA’s Richmond location.

CodeDay offers students a fun experience that kicks off with everyone pitching ideas for games or apps they want to build. Teams then spend the rest of the weekend working to bring these fun ideas to life.
