Amazon & Georgia Tech Inspire Students to Learn to Code with Remix of Ciara Song

12 December, 2019

Amazon and Georgia Tech have announced a new addition to the Amazon Future Engineer program — – a music remix competition that teaches students how to write code that makes music. Your students can use an original music stems from the musician Ciara and her new song, “SET,” to create their own remix with the Python coding language.

No coding experience is required. Students and teachers can learn more about the competition details at www.amazonfutureengineer.com/earsketch – all high school students are encouraged to participate, either in class or on their own. Top prizes include an all-expense paid trip to Amazon’s Seattle HQ for three grand prize students and their guardians. Students get to demo their song to Amazon Music execs.

Please let your students know about this opportunity, and check out the teaching guides developed by Georgia Tech to see if it’s a fit for your in-class instruction.
